Parenting can be hard, but at Evergreen Church, we’re here to help your family life a joyful and Christ-centered life. We’re committed to supporting you as you nurture and guide your kids, and we’ll help your family grow in following Jesus together. We believe that kids are important and have a meaningful place in our community right now, not just later.
Evergreen Kids Ministry meets in person on Sundays at 9:15am & 11am.
Safety is our highest priority at Evergreen Kids. We are dedicated to creating a secure environment where children can learn and play. You can explore the topics below to find answers to your questions. If you need more information, don’t hesitate to reach out to us: kids@evergreenboise.org
To ensure the safety of the children in our care, we require that all kids be registered and checked in properly. Checking in your kids is simple! A team member will be there to welcome you and assist with the check-in process.
We use a straightforward text message system to keep parents informed. Please keep your cell phone handy during the service in case we need to reach you.
We offer snacks and water to kids during the service. Please let the Evergreen Kids team know at check-in if your child has any food allergies or dietary restrictions.
All Evergreen Kids team members are background checked and trained to be aware and vigilant about child safety. We also have a great church safety team that protects our entire congregation on Sundays. They monitor the Kids spaces throughout the morning.
“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” Psalm 139:13-14
In Evergreen Kids, we want ALL children to be included. We know this looks different for every child’s needs and learning differences, so please reach out to us if you want to talk through what your child needs to participate and engage with their peers at church. From sensory bags in “Big Church,” calm down spaces, predictable routines, and 1-on-1 Buddies, we have options!
*Children are not required to be toilet-trained by a specific age or class. However, diapers and pull-ups will need to be changed by a parent for children age 3 and older.
“These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” Deuteronomy 6:6-7
All children in Evergreen Kids - preschoolers to preteens - learn the same Bible story each week at their own developmental level. Our babies and toddlers get to hear a simple Bible story repeated for a month at a time! Wonder Ink is a Bible-centered curriculum designed to inspire children in faith, walk alongside parents at home, and equip volunteers in ministry. We go through the WHOLE Bible every school year! Each lesson is designed to help kids grasp the big story of the Bible as well as their own personal connection to Jesus.
Birth-2 year olds
Our Evergreen Nursery class is all about loving on the next generation starting with the smallest! At Evergreen Church we believe that even babies can worship God! We want these precious gifts to learn that church is a safe place and Jesus loves them.
3-6 year olds
PreK-Kinder is all about engaging natural curiosity and learning that the stories in the Bible really happened! We want your children to grow up understanding what it means to love all people and help them find and follow Jesus, while they feel safe at church and have fun!
